After 20 years, the Pan-American Congress of Naval Engineering (COPINAVAL) returns to Brazil. In 2027, the city of Belém, in the state of Parå, will host this landmark edition. Situated in the heart of the Amazon, Belém is a strategic hub where the naval industry and inland waterway transport drive sustainable regional development.
Ports in ParĂĄ handle over 100 million tons of cargo annually, and approximately 10 million passengers travel through Amazonian rivers each year.
BelĂ©m will also host COP 30 in 2025, placing the city at the center of global discussions on sustainability â a key focus for the future of naval engineering.
COPINAVAL 2027 will reaffirm its commitment to integration and technical excellence for the advancement of naval engineering worldwide.
